Feliz out for Rangers

Rookie closer Neftali Feliz is unavailable for the Texas Rangers' game against the Detroit Tigers after the birth of his first child.

Feliz was with his wife, Karina, in New York City for the birth of their daughter, Nerali Lucia, early Tuesday morning.

The 22-year-old Feliz has 36 saves, one short of matching the major league rookie record set by Kazuhiro Sasaki for the Seattle Mariners in 2000.
