Examining the Rockies' sudden turn for the worse

Published Apr. 21, 2015 6:02 p.m. ET

With four consecutive losses following a 7-2 start, you might start to wonder whatever happened to the Rockies team which looked so good after starting 6-0 on the road. Bobby DeMuro at Rox Pile found a stark contrast between the teams the Rockies have beaten and those they have lost to. While the team is 6-0 against the Brewers and the Giants, those teams have combined to go 6-21 so far this season. Meanwhile, the Rockies are 1-6 against the Cubs, Dodgers and Padres who are a combined 25-13. It's certainly a good sign that Colorado has beaten such seemingly poor teams, and perhaps shouldn't be too concerning that the the team has struggled against seemingly good teams. It will be interesting to see how the team fares against good/bad opponents as the season unfolds.
