Pena's hitting: Carlos Pena, who hit .196 in the regular season, reached base six times in nine plate appearances in Texas. He drove in four runs in the two games.

Kinsler error: Kinsler back-pedaled into right on a Matt Joyce pop up that should have been Nelson Cruz's ball to catch. When the ball dropped, Carlos Pena scored from third for the Rays' first run.

Hamilton's hitting: After a single in his first at-bat of the series, Josh Hamilton is 1-for-13. He does not have an extra-base hit in the series.

Guerrero's hitting: Guerrero's strikeout, his third of the series, couldn't have come at a worse moment. It happened with the bases loaded and two outs in the fifth. Guerrero has a career .258 postseason batting average with runners in scoring position.

Cruz's homer: The Rangers have hit seven homers in the series, accounting for nine of their 15 runs. In the last three games, homers have accounted for seven of 10 runs.

Foul

Homes: The loss dropped the Rangers to 0-6 at home in the postseason. Forget winning a series, Ranger fans have never experienced winning a game at home in the club's 39-year history.

Foul

Decisions: For the second straight day, a question could be raised about a Rangers managerial decision. With a man on and nobody out in the sixth, the Rays brought on the only lefty in their bullpen, Randy Choate, to face lefty David Murphy. The Rangers left right-handed hitting Jeff Francoeur, 9-for-23 against lefties since joining the team, on the bench.

Foul

Mimics: Rays pitcher Andy Sonnanstine, inactive for this series, was caught on the bench mocking the Rangers beloved "antlers" gesture. Hey, buddy, get yourself on the postseason roster before you start mocking others.
