BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

Teixeira's 0-fer: Mark Teixeira walked in the ninth but was otherwise held off the bases. He is hitless in seven at-bats (with a pair of walks) in the series.

Young's RBI: Michael Young had a two-out, run-scoring hit for the second consecutive day with a second-inning single. All six of his post-season RBIs have come with two outs.

Hamilton's walks: Josh Hamilton became the sixth player ever to receive at least four walks in a League Championship Series game. Chase Utley of Philadelphia was the last to do it on Oct. 10, 2008, against the Angels.

Murphy's homer: David Murphy's one-out homer in the second kept alive the Rangers' streak of homering in every 2010 playoff game. They have 10 homers in seven games.
