Dodgers to play at Yankee Stadium, finish in San Francisco in 2016
Although the Dodgers have blinders on as they close in on the NL West division title and an ensuing postseason berth, they have some exciting matchups lined up for 2016, as showcased in their tentative schedule for next season that was released earlier this week.
The Blue Crew is set to begin the 2016 season in San Diego for a three-game series against the Padres, after which the team will head up to San Francisco for a three-game set against the rival Giants.
Los Angeles will play its home opener on April 12 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and will then host the Giants at Dodger Stadium following a three-game series against the D-backs.
Just as they are slated to begin the season in San Diego and San Francisco, the Dodgers are scheduled to culminate the season in the two cities as well, with their final regular-season game falling on Oct. 2 at the Giants' AT&T Park.
Notable interleague matchups on the docket in 2016 include a three-game series against the Blue Jays in Toronto (May 6-8), a split four-game Freeway Series with the Angels (May 16-19), and a three-game series against the Yankees in New York in the final full month of the season (Sept. 12-14).
The Dodgers' longest stretch of consecutive games will be a 20-game continuous streak from May 6 to May 25, which extends to 63 games in 66 days up until the All-Star break.
