Dodgers' Adrian Gonzalez drives in career RBI No. 1,000

Adrian Gonzalez drove in RBIs No. 1,000 and 1,001 for his career on Tuesday night with a two-run home run. Gonzalez admitted though that he would like even more RBIs, according to the Los Angeles Times:
"It's a great number," Gonzalez said. "For me career-wise I'd like to see 1,500, but 1,000 is a nice number.”
The first baseman’s run production has been seemingly as consistent as clockwork. He’s driven in at least 100 runs in each of the past eight seasons except in 2009 when he fell one short at 99. With 35 RBIs already this season, he seems well on his way to another 100+ RBI season. Assuming he maintains his consistency and health, he’s probably only 4-5 seasons away from reaching 1,500.
Gonzalez recognized how fortunate he’s been to do be able to put up these numbers. He said:
“You just have to thank God for that and the opportunity to stay healthy. It definitely means a lot.”
