Dodgers activate pitchers Norris, Liberatore
CINCINNATI (AP) The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated right-hander Bud Norris from the 15-day disabled list in time to start Friday night against Cincinnati.
Left-hander Adam Liberatore also came off the 15-day DL. Pitchers Casey Fien and Ross Stripling were optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Norris had been on the disabled list since Aug. 6 with a mid-back strain. He was acquired by the Dodgers from Atlanta in a June 30 trade.
Liberatore had been sidelined since Aug. 3 with left elbow inflammation.
Fien was reinstated from the disabled list on Tuesday and made two scoreless appearances during the Dodgers' series in Philadelphia. Stripling started Thursday's game against the Phillies and left with a no-decision in a 5-4 loss. He is 3-4 with a 4.04 ERA in 15 games, including 11 starts, with the Dodgers this season.
