Diamondbacks sell RHP Mickolio to Japan's Carp

The Arizona Diamondbacks have sold reliever Kam Mickolio to the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Nippon Professional Baseball League in Japan.

The 27-year-old right-hander had a 6.75 ERA in six games with Arizona last season. He spent most of the year with Triple-A Reno, going 3-4 with a 4.97 ERA in 48 games.

Mickolio came to the Diamondbacks with reliever David Hernandez in the trade that sent third baseman Mark Reynolds to the Baltimore Orioles in December of 2010.
