Cubs place OF Bogusevic on DL, recall Lake

The Chicago Cubs have placed outfielder Brian Bogusevic on the 15-day disabled list and recalled outfielder-infielder Junior Lake from Triple-A Iowa to fill his roster spot.

Bogusevic has a left hamstring strain. He is batting .261 in 13 games since being recalled last month.

Lake was batting .295 with four home runs and 18 RBIs at Iowa, where he made a delayed season debut in June after fracturing a rib during spring training.

Lake was in the starting lineup, playing center field, for Friday night's game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
