Cubs fans lose minds after prospects hit back-to-back-to-back homers

Cubs fans were collectively holding their crotches for fear they might pee their pants in delight after three straight dingers from three highly touted prospects Tuesday.

All of them off poor Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer.

First Jorge Soler launched a solo shot to left. Then Javier Baez sent one into the stratosphere. Then Kris Bryant creamed one to right center for the trifecta.

Back-to-back-to-back from the Cubs' No. 5, No. 1 and No. 2 prospects, respectively (according to the 2014 Baseball America prospect rankings). A feat that sent Cubs fans into something like euphoria.

Welington Castillo singled after the three homers, then homered later in the day.

"We kind of made fun of him. He joined the club, though," said Baez, who was 0 for 9 before his homer. 

Exciting? Sure. But the Cubs still lost 10-6 and still haven't won a spring training game and still haven't won a World Series in ...

Ah to hell with it, this is THE YEAR!

And remember, if it really is the year, one lucky Cubs fan is going to win a "time machine."
