Brewers place Braun on 15-day disabled list with strained oblique

The Brewers placed outfielder Ryan Braun on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a strained right oblique.

Braun, who has played since April 27, is batting .318 with six homers and 18 RBI in 22 games this year, helping the Brewers get off to the best start in baseball.

Braun, 30, is coming of serving 65-game suspension for his involvement with the Biogenesis clinic. The Brewers activated outfielder Logan Schafer from the 15-day DL.
