Brewers' Fielder hits 3 HRs

BY foxsports • September 28, 2011

Brewers slugger Prince Fielder has hit three home runs in a game for the first time in his career.

Fielder connected in the third, fifth and seventh innings on Tuesday night against Pittsburgh, driving in five runs over the three at-bats. He also walked in the first. Fielder now has 38 home runs and 120 RBIs for the season.

All three homers went to right field, including a 453-foot solo drive in the third. After his go-ahead, two-run homer in the seventh, he answered a curtain call by turning to the Miller Park crowd and raising his arms in his ''beast mode'' celebration that he started with the Brewers in tribute to his two young sons' favorite movie, Monsters, Inc.

Fielder became the third Milwaukee player to hit three homers in a game this season.
