ATLANTA (AP) The Atlanta Braves have recalled right-hander Arodys Vizcaino and promoted right-hander David Carpenter from Triple-A Gwinnett.

In corresponding moves, right-hander Nick Masset and left-hander Dana Eveland were designated for assignment. Masset was charged with three runs and failed to record an out in the 10th inning of Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies.

The hard-throwing Vizcaino was suspended for the first 80 games for a positive test for the performance-enhancing substance Stanozolol. He was activated to Gwinnett's roster on Friday.

Vizcaino was acquired from the Cubs in an offseason trade for infielder Tommy La Stella.

Carpenter signed as a minor league free agent on Jan. 17. He was 1-2 with a 5.23 ERA in 30 games with the Angels from 2012-2014.
