Proceeds from a baseball game between injured veterans and former major leaguers will be used to support charities and establish a fund honoring victims of the assassination attempt on U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

The Heroes vs. Legends game on March 12 at Tucson Electric Park will include former players Gaylord Perry, Rollie Fingers and Fergie Jenkins.

Funds from the newly created Christina Green Memorial Fund will be used to build a park with a Little League complex. The fund's 9-year-old namesake was among the six killed in the Jan. 8 shooting that also left 13 wounded, including Giffords.

Christina is the daughter of Los Angeles Dodgers scouting supervisor John Green and granddaughter of former big-league manager Dallas Green.
