CLEVELAND (AP) The Oakland Athletics recalled right-hander Chris Bassitt from Triple-A Nashville to start Saturday night's game against the Cleveland Indians.

Right-hander Jesse Hahn, who was scheduled to start Saturday, was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained forearm. He had an MRI on Friday and will be shut down for a couple of weeks. Hahn is 6-6 with a 3.35 ERA in 16 starts.

Bassitt is 0-2 with a 2.95 ERA in seven appearances for the Athletics this season. He made two starts when right-hander Sonny Gray was sidelined with salmonella poisoning.
