The Oakland Athletics placed right-handers Rich Harden and Andrew Bailey on the 15-day disabled list to complete their opening day roster Wednesday.

Harden has a strained lat muscle below his shoulder and Bailey has a strained forearm. Their placement on the DL is retroactive to March 22.

The A's also optioned right-hander Tyson Ross, catcher Josh Donaldson and infielder Eric Sogard to Triple-A Sacramento. They put infielder Adam Rosales on the 60-day disabled list, clearing a spot on the 25-man roster for infielder Andy LaRoche.

Oakland opens the regular season Friday night at home against the Seattle Mariners.
