Athletics manager Bob Geren enjoyed watching his team's rare power surge.

Adam Kennedy hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the sixth inning, one of four Oakland home runs in a 7-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night.

"Adam is such an excellent player," Geren said. "He can figure when to dial it up. That's a sign of a good, experienced player."

Scott Hairston, Kurt Suzuki and Cliff Pennington also homered for the A's, who won their third straight over the Rangers. Rajai Davis added two hits.
