Angels recall Cron from Salt Lake and option Ibarra

NEW YORK (AP) The Los Angeles Angels have recalled first baseman C.J. Cron from Salt Lake of the Pacific Coast League and optioned left-hander Edgar Ibarra to the Triple-A club.

Cron was the designated hitter in Saturday night's game against the New York Yankees, batting seventh.

Ibarra threw 47 pitches in Friday's series opener, an 8-7 Angels' loss.
