Angels drop former GM Reagins' top 2 aides
The Los Angeles Angels have cut ties with two top aides to former general manager Tony Reagins in the continuing shake-up of their front office.
The Angels say they won't renew the contracts of assistant general manager Ken Forsch and special assistant Gary Sutherland.
Reagins left the Angels last Friday after a meeting with owner Arte Moreno. Los Angeles went 86-76 and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year after starting the season with baseball's fourth-highest payroll.
Forsch had been in the Angels' front office for 14 years after spending five seasons of his 16-year pitching career with the club.
Sutherland, a former outfielder, joined the Angels in 1999, coordinating the club's scouting.
