Adam Jones says Camden Yards is 'eerie' with attendance down

The Orioles are desperately trying to hold on to a wild-card spot with 10 games remaining in the regular season. And center fielder Adam Jones would like to see a few more fans in the seats.

Jones stopped short of calling out the absent fans, saying it’s "not sad, just, like, eerie." And he did compliment the fans who show up at Camden Yards, thanking them “with open arms.” From The Baltimore Sun:

After dropping the first three games of a four-game set against the AL East-leading Red Sox this week, the Orioles are a season-high six games back in the division but still have a one-game lead for the second AL wild card. The attendance figures from this week’s games against Boston: 18,456; 20,387; 20,865. For the season, the Orioles rank 20th in the majors in attendance.
