The unofficial start of holiday shopping season isn't for another week, but why get up early -- or stay out late -- in the name of Black Friday deals for the baseball lover in your life when you can get New York Yankees gear at bargain-basement prices right now?

The only stipulation? The person receiving the gift should probably be an Alex Rodriguez supporter, if there are any of those left.

As long as they are, though, you're set, because right now at Toys R Us, you can buy an A-Rod figurine for $1, a nearly 94-percent discount from the regular price of $15.99.

You'€™ll still have to pay full price for Josh Hamilton in Rangers gear or Adrian Gonzalez in a Red Sox uniform, so this isn'€™t a deal reserved for just anyone who changes uniforms —€” or, in Rodriguez's case, gets into heated legal battles with the league over a 211-game suspension for PED use.

But come on, a dollar for A-Rod? That's worth it just for the novelty of it all. The only problem will be finding a store with the figurines in stock, because you can't buy it online.
