2 Orioles minor league pitchers suspended for PEDs

NEW YORK (AP) Baltimore Orioles shortstop Jared Breen and right-hander Nick Cunningham have been suspended 80 games each for positive tests under baseball's minor league drug program.

The pair tested positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2 (GHRP-2), the commissioner's office said Thursday.

Both are 24 and are with Delmarva of the Class A South Atlantic League. Breen is batting .242 with one homer and 22 RBIs; Cunningham is 4-3 with a 3.23 ERA in two starts and 18 relief appearances.

There have been 74 suspensions this year under the minor league drug program.
