Who is Jared du Toit?
It's been 25 years since an amateur last won a PGA Tour event (Phil Mickelson at the 1991 Northern Telecom Open), and 62 years since a Canadian last won the Canadian Open.
21-year-old Jared du Toit put himself in position to break both of those streaks at the RBC Canadian Open, carding an eagle at the 18th hole Saturday to earn a place in the final pairing alongside leader Brandt Snedeker.

Du Toit, at 8-under for the tournament, will start his final round one stroke behind Snedeker, and tied with U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson.
Du Toit, from Kimberley, British Columbia, Canada, is a rising senior at Arizona State University, where he played on the same team as breakout star Jon Rahm (who sits in a tie for sixth after three rounds). The Canadian Open at Glen Abbey is du Toit's first career PGA Tour start, and he's leading all players in strokes gained on the green this week.
Du Toit said that he's not putting any pressure on himself Sunday.
