Tiger's niece signs with same agent?
Tiger Woods' niece Cheyenne Woods has signed with her famous uncle's agent as she prepares to make the transition to the LPGA Tour.
The 21-year-old Wake Forest University graduate signed with Excel Sports Management, where Tiger Woods is the star client of Mark Steinberg's golf division.
"We are excited about the opportunity to represent Cheyenne," Steinberg said in a statement Monday. "She had an outstanding career at Wake Forest and has the chance to be a major star on the women's golf scene."
Cheyenne Woods plans to compete in LPGA events this year through sponsor exemptions and hopes to earn a fulltime spot on the tour via the qualifying school later in the year.
"I am really looking forward to pursuing my goals and dreams to compete on the highest level," she said.
"As I begin my professional career, I am confident and excited about working with Excel as they help shape my future."
The daughter of Tiger Woods' half-brother Earl Woods Jnr, Cheyenne Woods ended her college career as Wake Forest's all-time top scorer, averaging 73.31 over her four years and capturing two collegiate tournament victories.
Steinberg, who has been Tiger Woods' manager since 1999, joined Excel from IMG last July.
