Tiger Woods began tuning up for the Masters on Monday by practicing at Augusta National, according to several media reports.

Woods announced March 16 that he would return to competition April 8-11 at the Masters. Woods has won there four times but not since 2005.

He had been preparing at Isleworth Golf and Country Club near Orlando, which was being used for the Tavistock Cup, an interclub competition between pros from Isleworth and Lake Nona that continues Tuesday.

It was not certain whether Woods planned to remain in Augusta for more practice on Tuesday while the Tavistock course was unavailable. Golf Digest said be played 36 holes Monday and wrapped up with some additional work on his short game.
