Thai golfer withdraws from Masters with injury

Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand has withdrawn from the Masters because of an elbow injury.

Jaidee shot a 2-over 74 in the opening round and dropped out Friday after playing 10 holes at 4-over par. He did make a birdie at his final hole.

Jaidee was playing in his second Masters. In 2006, he became the first Thai golfer to receive an invitation. He shot 78-75 and failed to make the cut.
