Adam Scott and American Matt Kuchar will play in the same threesome for the first two rounds of the World Cup at Royal Melbourne.
Tournament officials released the draw on Tuesday, grouping Scott and Kuchar with Italy's Matteo Manassero on Thursday and Friday.
Japan's Ryo Ishikawa will play with George Coetzee of South Africa and Fiji's Vijay Singh. Singh is one of eight individual players in the 60-man field and is not included in the 26-country team competition.
Scott's Australian teammate Jason Day will play in a group with Graeme McDowell and Sweden's Jonas Blixt. McDowell, from Northern Ireland, is playing for Ireland under the World Cup format.
Kuchar's American teammate Kevin Streelman is playing in a group with Francesco Molinari of Italy and Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez.
