Podcast: On the end of Nike golf and the future of golf equipment

Published Nov. 15, 2016 1:55 p.m. ET

This week on The Clubhouse with Shane Bacon, Bob Parsons, a man that has made his billions in tech and is now trying his hand at golf equipment, joined Shane to chat about his company, PXG, and the sudden success of a high-dollar golf company.

Parsons discussed how much he spent on clubs each year before starting up PXG (hint: it’s more than you and I make combined, easily), what happened with Nike Golf and the sudden decision to halt production of clubs and balls, and the benefits and lack thereof with signing a huge name like Rory McIlroy (if it ever happened).

The discussion went a lot of different ways, with the personality and business-mindedness of Parsons leading the way.
