No surprises at first Ryder Cup practice
The opening day of practice for the Ryder Cup is under way with no big surprises at Celtic Manor.
Tiger Woods was playing Tuesday morning alongside Steve Stricker for the Americans, a team that won all four matches in the Presidents Cup a year ago. Also in their group are Hunter Mahan and Zach Johnson.
Europe has Franceso and Edoardo Molinari of Italy playing with the Northern Ireland duo of Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy. The second European group features Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer, Peter Hanson and Miguel Angel Jimenez, followed by Ian Poulter, Ross Fisher, Luke Donald and Padraig Harrington.
The other two American groups feature Stewart Cink, Matt Kuchar, Jim Furyk and Jeff Overton; followed by Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler.
