GOLD COAST, Australia (AP) Masters champion Sergio Garcia is planning on playing the Australian PGA Championship in November, and he's packing his green jacket for the trip.

No. 5-ranked Garcia, who broke his 18-year drought at the majors when he won the Masters in April, has confirmed he'll play at the Nov. 30-Dec. 3 co-sanctioned Australasian and European Tour event at Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.

''I am privileged to have a green jacket and have enjoyed wearing it at other sporting events throughout the year,'' Garcia said of the prized jacket which distinguishes Masters champions from other golfers. ''I will definitely be bringing the green jacket with me to the Gold Coast.''

Harold Varner III won the Australian PGA Championship last year and other former winners include Adam Scott, who won the title the same year as he broke Australia's drought by winning the Masters.
