Thailand's P.K. Kongkraphan won the Northeast Delta Dental International on Sunday for her first Symetra Tour title, beating Michelle Shin with a par on the third hole of a playoff.

Kongkraphan closed with a 1-under-par 71 to match Shin at 9-under 207 at Beaver Meadow. Shin, a former Wake Forest player, finished with a 67

''I didn't make a putt,'' said Kongkraphan, who had 29 putts in the final round. ''Today, I missed many tee shots and the approaches weren't that well but I made my wedge shots. . . .

''I feel glad today. I'm very happy. I was more comfortable on the course, I was a little bit nervous because it was my first time in the leader group and I was the leader. Michelle Shin, she's a great player.''
