Jack Nicklaus reaches out to Jordan Spieth after Masters meltdown
Jordan Spieth most likely won't get over what happened during the final round of the Masters anytime soon. The defending tournament champ took a five-shot lead to the back nine at Augusta, but a quadruple-bogey on 12 all but cost him a chance for back-to-back green jackets.
It was difficult to watch and had to be agonizing to live through, but one of golf's true legends tried to aid Spieth in his professional time of need.
Eighteen-time major winner Jack Nicklaus took to social media on Sunday to offer some words of encouragement for 22-year-old.

"I think the whole golfing world feels for Jordan Spieth," Nicklaus wrote. "He had a chance to do something truly special and something few have done before (back-to-back Masters titles) -- and be the youngest to accomplish that -- and he just didn't pull through.
"My heart goes out to him for what happened, but I know that Jordan is a young man who will clearly learn from this experience and there will be some good that comes out of this for him. He's a wonderful talent and a wonderful young man."
Those words coming from an icon like Nicklaus have to ease Spieth's pain at least a little. This setback most likely will only fuel Spieth, who was trying to become the fourth back-to-back winner of the Masters.
