Ian Poulter has withdrawn from the Honda Classic with an illness. That put a rookie from Argentina in the spotlight on Thursday.

Poulter was replaced in the field by Miguel Angel Carballo, who will play alongside Tiger Woods and Lee Westwood.

The Englishman tweeted late Wednesday that he was feeling ill and posted a picture of the thermometer reading stretching past 101 degrees F.

Poulter was supposed to be part of the marquee pairing at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. Now that spot goes to Carballo, who will play in the Honda Classic for the first time.
