Golfer loses his mind after winning a BMW i8 with hole in one

Published May. 29, 2016 11:31 a.m. ET

James Morrison was out of contention all day at the BMW PGA Championship Sunday, and a final-round 75 dropped him to 47th - but he'll leave Wentworth Club with one of the coolest hole-in-one prizes in the world. Sitting behind the tee at the par-3 14th was a brand new 2016 BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition, and Morrison earned himself the keys with a perfect shot from 177 yards. The car itself is worth many multiples of what Morrison will earn for his finish (a base model i8 goes for around $140,000.)

Morrison celebrated on the tee with playing partner Andy Sullivan, then hopped in his new ride. Morrison was so pumped up he lifted Sullivan over his shoulders and carried him down the fairway.
