English golfer Gary Boyd shot a 9-under 63 to equal the course record and earn the lead after the third round of the Castello Masters on Saturday.

At 14-under 199 and looking for his first win on the European Tour, Boyd will go into the final round at the Club de Campo Del Mediterraneo two shots ahead of Italy's Matteo Manassero and Sweden's Christian Nilsson.

Earlier, John Parry, Boyd's fellow Englishman and roommate on tour, set the course record at 63. That score lifted the recent winner of the Vivendi Trophy to 9 under.
