Adam Blyth, bidding for a maiden Asian Tour victory, shared the clubhouse lead with Chan Yih-shin of Chinese Taipei after the second round of the Mercuries Taiwan Masters.
The Australian shot three birdies and one bogey for a two-under-par 70 while Chan picked up seven birdies, one bogey and a double bogey for a four-under 68 before play was suspended due to darkness.
The pair have a two-day total of one-under-par 143 at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club.
The second day of play was delayed for over two hours due to unplayable conditions and 28 players, including overnight leader Peter Karmis, will resume their round at 7am local time tomorrow.
Iain Steel of Malaysia shot a 73 and is alongside Bangladeshi Siddikur (69) on 144 overall.
''This is one of those courses where you have to stick in there and remain patient,'' said Blyth. ''You need to keep a level head and calm because the course can get you angry.
''You will get some bad bounces and breaks but you have to deal with it patiently.''
Chan, meanwhile, was delighted with his consistency as he shot three successive birdies from the fourth and did the same again from the 12th.
''Overall, I'm very happy with my round,'' he said. ''The greens were softer after the rain and that made it easier to place my ball. I was more confident today of going for the pin.''
