Asian Tour marking its 10th season

The Asian Tour has adopted a celebratory logo for the 2013 season to commemorate its 10th year as Asia's premier professional golf sanctioning body.

Asian Tour executive chairman Kyi Hla Han and chief executive Mike Kerr unveiled the new logo Friday, with the official tagline, ''The Players' Tour.''

The Asian Tour was launched as a player-led organization in 2004 to replace the defunct Asian PGA and has since staged 239 tournaments — including several regularly co-sanctioned with the PGA and European Tours — and offering a total of $290 million in prize money.

The Asian Tour's dominance in the region has been challenged in recent years by the Hong Kong-based OneAsia tour.
