Alabama wins second straight NCAA golf title

Alabama won its second straight NCAA golf title Wednesday, beating Oklahoma State 4-1 in the final at Prairie Dunes.
Trey Mullinax won the deciding match, holing an eagle putt from the fringe on the par-5 17th hole to beat Ian Davis 2 and 1.

Bobby Wyatt and Robby Shelton won the opening two matches for Alabama, and Cory Whitsett took the last. Wyatt had a hole-in-one on No. 2 in his 3-and-2 victory over Talor Gooch, Shelton edged Zachary Olsen 1-up, and Whitsett beat Jordan Niebrugge 2 and 1.
Wyndham Clarke won for Oklahoma State, beating Tom Lovelady 3 and 1.
On Tuesday, Alabama beat SMU in the quarterfinals and LSU in the semifinals. Oklahoma State beat Georgia Tech and Stanford.
