WR Trey Quinn will transfer from LSU

Published Feb. 16, 2016 3:33 p.m. ET

Part of the vaunted 2014 class featuring the likes of Leonard Fournette, Davon Godchaux and Malachi Dupre, receiver Trey Quinn was part of a four-headed freshmen monster for LSU.

He started seven game as a first-year player -- accruing 17 grabs for 193 yards. He was expected to be one of LSU's primary targets heading into his sophomore year.

Unfortunately for Quinn, it wasn't meant to be.

Taking to Twitter, the sophomore announced his intention transfer from the program -- seeking playing time elsewhere.

Quinn managed only five catches this past year -- featuring sparingly for Les Miles. His role was never truly defined, and as such, Quinn didn't manage too much in the way of playing time.

One would think Quinn will draw plenty of interest from programs seeing an athlete with blazing speed in the open field.
