Thomas truly is the definition of a warrior as he has yet to miss a snap in his incredible career. Thomas has started 158 straight games all with the Cleveland Browns, setting the standard for strength and sustainability in the NFL.

Thomas is the first in a long line of dominating linemen for Wisconsin Football, and despite his incredible career in the NFL, he is often overlooked as the cream of the crop in the NFL. A large part of that is because he has played his entire career in Cleveland, and the lack of overall team success has certainly hurt Thomas’ overall prominence.

Thomas signed a 7 year, 80 million dollar contract with Cleveland and would not hit the free agent market until after the 2018 season. Thomas is 32 years old, and with age and the lack of success in Cleveland, rumors have began to swirl on a possible trade of the ten year veteran.

It would certainly bring back a lot of pieces in return for Cleveland, one executive saying it would be a “kings ransom” to get a guy like Thomas. That might be just what Cleveland needs, and with winning not on the horizon anytime soon, might be best for Joe as well. Either way, Wisconsin Football is incredibly proud of Joe, and we hope he continues to have his success no matter where he may be.
