Williams sets new kick return mark

Utah State kick return ace Kerwynn Williams set a new FBS single-season record for kick return yards in the Aggies' season finale against Boise State.

Williams' 17-yard return in the third quarter Saturday gave him 1,421 return yards for the year, breaking the previous mark of 1,410 yards set earlier this season by Taveon Rogers of New Mexico State.

The sophomore returned six kickoffs for 157 yards in the Aggies' 50-14 loss Saturday, giving him a season total of 1,444 yards in 53 returns. He also rushed for 147 yards on 19 carries against Boise State Saturday, including a 40-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
