Watch elite 2016 corner Nigel Knott commit to Alabama

Alabama doesn't just recruit ... it reloads.

Nick Saban's program picked up a very talented defensive back on Monday, as 2016 prospect Nigel Knott pledged to the Crimson Tide in a Bleacher Report video over the likes of Oregon, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.

The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete out of Mississippi is an exceptional talent. Possessing fast-twitch muscles, Knott is adept at flipping his hips and turning in coverage quite well. He's also fast enough to stick with true burners on the perimeter.

As a result of his overall athleticism (check this out), Knott offers good positional versatility. He could function as a true corner -- but also play as a nickelback early in his career.

Alabama did well here to secure one of its top targets in the secondary for this class. With Cyrus Jones, Bradley Sylve, Jabriel Washington, and Geno Matias-Smith all graduating, there was a definite need for both depth and talent.

Knott should fulfill this role quite nicely.
