Washington passes Old Dominion past Texas-San Antonio, 36-31
SAN ANTONIO (AP) David Washington threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Duhart with 5:45 left in the game to lift Old Dominon to a 36-31 win over Texas-San Antonio on Saturday night.
Ray Lawry scored from 3 yards out to give Old Dominion (4-5, 2-3 Conference USA) a 30-21 lead to start the fourth quarter, but Dalton Sturm found Aaron Grubb with a 25-yard touchdown pass and Daniel Portillo added a 39-yard field goal to give the Roadrunners (1-8, 1-4) a 31-30 lead midway through the period.
Washington was 29 of 48 for 378 yards and two touchdowns, both to Duhart, and an interception. Lawry had 23 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Duhart caught 8 passes for 160 yards and Zach Pascal caught 10 for 146 yards.
Strum completed 25 of 37 attempts for 252 yards and two touchdowns for Texas-San Antonio.
