Virginia relied on the arms of its quarterbacks a lot in 2014, but that's bound to change this season.
The Cavaliers aim to build a more reliable ground game this time around, Chris Graham of the Augusta Free Press reports.
"We want to be able to run the ball, because if you noticed today, our quarterbacks were under center more," Virginia head coach Mike London told Graham. "If you want to run the ball, you’re going to have to be able to run the play-action passes that can accompany that. That’s the identity that we want to establish."
U.Va. averaged well under four yards per rush attempt last season, but running back Taquan Mizzell appears to be on the verge of a breakout year.
