Vernon Adams is one step closer to joining UO

Things are about to heat up in Eugene. QB Vernon Adams, a graduate transfer from Eastern Washington, has graduated from EWU and is expected on campus in Eugene this week.

Adams had a prolific career at Eastern Washington. He twice finished as the Walter Payton Award runner-up, FCS's version of the Heisman trophy, and threw for over 10,000 yards and 110 touchdowns in 37 games at EWU.

Summer classes began at Oregon on Monday and it is believed that Adams is enrolled for summer classes.
