The University of Utah hired Tim Davis as its offensive line coach Thursday.

Davis, a former Ute offensive tackle and coaching assistant, will replace Blake Miller, who resigned.

Davis spent the last two seasons as the run game coordinator and offensive line coach at Minnesota. He played for the Utes from 1978-80 and coached the line from 1990-1996. Since leaving Utah after the 1996 season, Davis coached at Wisconsin (1997-2001), USC (2002-04) and the Miami Dolphins (2005-06).

Davis lettered three years at Utah and was chosen Most Inspirational Player in 1980.
