UNC Basketball: Sterling Manley gives verbal commitment
UNC lands another recruit in the 2017 class just a few days after the recruit was on campus to visit and watch Late Night With Roy
It looks like Late Night With Roy paid off for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Just days after the event, the Tar Heels men’s basketball team has locked up a verbal commitment from a power forward in the 2017 class.
Sterling Manley announced via Twitter that he has verbally committed to the University of North Carolina after taking a visit to the campus.
Here’s what Manley posted on Twitter:

The 6-foot-10, 230 pound Manley is a three-star recruit out of Pickerington, Ohio and is the fourth commitment the Tar Heels have received.
Manley joins guards Jalek Felton and Andrew Platek as well as fellow forward Brandon Huffman.
Between Manley and Huffan, who is 6-foot-9, the Tar Heels have plenty of height in their class thus far. They also have offers out for other recruits including Kevin Knox, P.J. Washington and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Manley had offers from West Virginia, Xavier, Georgetown, Purdue and Tennessee among others.
After putting together a nice 2016 class, Roy Williams and his staff are off to a nice start in the 2017 class. With four signed, they are still searching for that big five-star recruit to put there class over the top.
