UCLA RB Coleman taken off field on stretcher
UCLA running back Derrick Coleman was wheeled off the field on a stretcher and taken to a hospital as a precaution after being knocked out early in the third quarter against No. 25 Stanford on Saturday night.
Coleman was knocked out at the end of a 9-yard run. He fumbled but UCLA recovered. Coleman regained consciousness and had movement in all his extremities, the school said. He was tended to for several minutes before being taken off the field. Stanford was leading 13-0.
