Redshirt freshman quarterback Daniel Jones earned ACC Rookie of the Week after totaling 290 passing yards for three touchdowns in the Blue Devils’ upset victory at Notre Dame. He also rushed for 19 yards in the game. Jones excelled against the Fighting Irish as a first-year starter, especially leading the Blue Devils down the field late in the game to score the game-tying touchdown on a 64 yard pass to Anthony Nash at 35 points and then leading the offense down the field to score the game-winning field goal.

Junior running back Shaun Wilson was named the ACC Specialist of the Week after compiling 163 yards on four kickoff returns including a 96-yard return to score the first touchdown of the game for Duke down 14-0. Wilson stepped in for the injured DeVon Edwards as the primary kick returner. He also added 66 rushing yards for the Blue Devils.

Duke Football was a three-touchdown underdog against the Fighting Irish, but ended up earning a 38-35 win against one of the top college football programs. Congrats to Daniel Jones and Shaun Wilson on earning conference player of the week honors and we’re looking forward to see how the Blue Devils follow up their performance this weekend against Virginia!
