What’s going on during Georgia football practices?

On Tuesday, outside linebacker Leonard Floyd became the team’s third player in two days to require surgery on his hand, according to the Macon Telegraph. Floyd reportedly fractured his left hand during Monday’s practice.

According to the report, Georgia officials said that Floyd “should" be available for the opener at Clemson on Aug. 31. The freshman is expected to play in the game, if healthy.

On Monday, starting outside linebacker James DeLoach and freshman outside lineback Davin Bellamy needed thumb surgery after injuries sustained during practice.

According to the Telegraph, head coach Mark Richt said he hopes all three return by early next week.
